Fall Spiced Sangria
This is the best sangria with a little fire kick to it!!
INGREDIENTS:
• 1-2 Large Honeycrisp Apples
• 1-2 Green Pears
• 1-2 Oranges
• ¼ cup of white sugar
• 1 lemon (juice)
• 1 bottle of red wine (merlot)
• 1 bottle of sparkling apple cider
• ½ cup of Bourbon
• ½ cup of Fireball
Garnish:
• Cinnamon bun topping or caramel
• Pumpkin spiced cookies or snickerdoodles
• Thyme sprigs
We love to make sangria throughout the year, but during fall we love to add some special ingredients to spice up this amazing drink!
DIRECTIONS:
1. Chop up apples, oranges, pears and add to the water dispenser. I sliced mine in ½ inch rounds and added them in layers.
2. In a bowl mix wine, bourbon, fireball, lemon juice and sugar. Wisk together.
3. Pour cocktail mixture over the fruit in the water dispenser and let sit for 2 hours in the refrigerator.
4. When you are ready to serve, add 1 bottle of refrigerated sparkling cider.
5. In a ball jar add fresh fruit, ice cubes, fill with sangria and garnish with thyme. Enjoy!!
