The trick to making vegetable fried rice mouth watering good and crunchy is bacon fat! This is a simple recipe your whole family will love!

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. In a pot, cook 2 cups of rice. Set aside.
  2. In a large cast iron skillet, cook 8oz of bacon. Remove bacon fat into a heat safe vessel and set the cooked bacon aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add sesame oil, onions, peas, carrots, string beans and cook until tender.
  4. Move the vegetables to one side of the skillet and add your eggs to the other side. scramble them slowly and then mix into the vegetables once they are cooked.
  5. Add the rice to the mixture and add the soy sauce slowly. Then slowly add bacon fat to the rice mixture and let it fry, slowly stirring.
  6. Add to a bowl, garnish with green onions and enjoy!
